About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Oliver Giroud from Chelsea. Giroud has six months left on his contract is reportedly wants to leave Stamford Bridge for regular football.

The 34-year-old forward has scored three goals in the Premier League and is currently the top goalscorer for the Blues. He has been overlooked by manager Frank Lampard despite proving his worth every time he gets a chance. Both Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham are ahead of him in the pecking order at Chelsea this season.

The Italian giants are currently sitting at 1st position in Serie A and English heavyweights are struggling at 9th position in Premier League.

Giroud recently broke the record of 3 or more goals scored by the oldest player in the Champions League after scoring 4 goals vs Sevilla.

Giroud has been also a prolific goalscorer for his country too. He is the second highest goalscorer for France international football team with 44 goals in 105 caps. However, he even won a World Cup in 2018.

Giroud would be the perfect striker AC Milan needs!

AC Milan are looking like returning to their prime days after Stefano Pioli’s appointment as the manager of the club.

The club surprised the world showing the fine form of “Old is Gold” Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, with injuries pertaining to Ibrahimovic and the lack of goals due to his absence has been creating problems for Pioli.

The Rossoneri recently lost 1-3 to defending Serie A champions Juventus. However, a striker like Giroud could heal Milan once again.

The veteran striker is in top form almost scoring whenever played. He and Tammy Abraham are the regular scorers for the team once included in the Chelsea starting 11.

However, Lampard doesn’t seem to let him go and currently is happy with Giroud’s performance so far. Giroud also likes what Lampard is doing as a manager.

“It’s nice to have a younger manager. Obviously, he will still learn throughout his career. He already has a lot of qualities to manage a team.”
