Amad Diallo Scores Twice in his Debut for Manchester United U-23

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Amad Diallo scored a brace on his Manchester United debut with U-23 side against Liverpool.

Amad Diallo didn’t take too much time to make an instant impact. He opened his account for United in the 14th minute when he capitalized on an error from the center-back.

He scored another one from the spot in the 74th minute with a brilliant panenka style penalty.

Eventually United cruised past Liverpool U-23 by slotting six goals past them. 4 goals from Joe Hugill and two from Diallo were enough to sink Liverpool.

The match ended with a scoreline of 6-3 as Liverpool struggled to beat their rivals at home. Goals from Tyler Morton, Luis Longstaff, and Joe Hardy were not enough to help Liverpool grab the maximum points available which is 3.

NOT LONG BEFORE DIALLO STARTS FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United signed Diallo from Atalanta for €37 million last summer. However, the 18-year-old Ivorian arrived at United in January as he didn’t receive his work visa in summer.

The Ivorian’s performance against Liverpool U-23 has caught the attention of many people. Now they are demanding that he should get promoted to the first team as he would shine there as well.

“He’s been training really well and settling in. He’s ready to get some game-time and match exposure.” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Ole has been keeping an eye on him and he said that he looks forward to seeing him play more often.

The current United manager has also said that the Ivorian can be promoted to the first team this season itself provided that he puts up stunning performances week in and week out.

The future is looking bright for Amad Diallo and if he carries on his current form then he will find himself playing for the first team which would be a dream for him.
