Ambernath United Atlanta FC will host ARA FC on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at the Cooperage stadium in Mumbai. However, this match is billed as a top-of-the-table duel in Group D after ARA won both of their matches. While Ambernath United Atlanta FC secured a comeback win in their Hero I-League 2 opener.
Ambernath United Atlanta FC made an impressive start to their Hero I-League 2 season, coming back from a goal down against Hyderabad Reserves on Sunday. After trailing by a goal at the interval, they had everything to do in the second half to turn the game around. However, Arif Shaikh and super-sub Abhijit Tawhare scored to give AUAFC all three points, their first in Hero I-League 2 and on debut.
Saturday brings a new test for AUA FC, who will face the top of Group D side ARA. Moreover, ARA have made an outstanding start to their I-League 2 campaign, winning both of their first two matches.
A 2-1 victory against Hyderabad Reserves and a 3-0 victory over Goa Reserves. For the first time in history, both teams will go head-to-head.

Mr Steven Dias is the head coach of AUA FC. He had this to say about their forthcoming encounter versus ARA FC: “I’m feeling confident and the boys are well prepared. It is going to be a good match against a very good ARA FC team. They won both their matches so far, so I’m sure they will be high on confidence. But we’re ready and looking forward to a great game tomorrow.”
” I was surprised to see the amount of fans that turned up for our last match and that was one of the reason that the team performed so well last match coming from a goal down to win. We are expecting the same amount of fans tomorrow as they play an integral part in motivating us to strive for the best. We will give our best and entertain our fans by playing good football and try to make it two winsin a row.”
This weekend’s Matchday 3 in Group D features a top-of-the-table duel between ARA and AUA FC. With a victory, ARA would have three victories out of three and 9/9 points. AUA FC might draw level on points with ARA if they win (6 points each). Meanwhile, the other three sides will be hoping for a stalemate and a sharing of the points. Dempo, on the other hand, won their first game and will face Hyderabad Reserves, who are aiming to rebound from two defeats. However, Hyderabad Reserves would like to establish themselves in Group D.
After this home encounter versus ARA FC, Ambernath United Atlanta FC will travel to Goa for two away matches against Goa Reserves and Dempo SC.
