Pirlo has had a bad first season as the new Bianconeri manager. They were beaten by FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League and they are third in Serie A. They trail by 10 points behind the league leaders Inter Milan.
The Old Lady could not get past the 10 man Porto side in the 2nd leg of the Champions League Round of 16. They went out on away goals.
The rookie manager hasn’t found his preferred formation or the best lineup at Juventus.
Pirlo has one more game at Juventus to prove himself?
According to reports, Andrea Pirlo could get sacked if they drop points in their next game against city rivals Torino, who sit 17th in the league.
The previous report claimed that Juventus had a dressing room unrest at Allianz Stadium after the Benevento defeat. However, they denied the claim.
Earlier Juventus revealed that they are willing to rebuild the club under the guidance of Pirlo. However, recent bad results and lacklustre performances from the Bianconeri might change the decision of the board.
The trip to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on April 3 will be huge for Juventus’ former legendary midfielder. Following that game, Pirlo’s side will meet Napoli at home.
As it stands Juventus have only one chance to win silverware this season in the domestic cup competition Coppa Italia. Where they will meet Atalanta in the final on 19th May.
