Andy Irving leaves Münich for other clubs in Europe

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Andy Irving departed the insolvent German tier 3 Türkgücü Münich and now has secured his career with a tempting transfer to Austria.

Before agreeing to sign with Klagenfurt, Andy Irving trained with Karlsruher in Germany’s second division along with Paderborn. The Scottish footballer departed Saints on privity of association, within a year. And he is now getting able to start a new career in the Austrian Bundesliga.

“Even as a guest player, I immediately felt at home in the team,”

Irving told reporters of Klagenfurt’s site.

“The lads were very open and accepted me into the group. That was definitely one of the reasons why I chose Austria.

“I’ve followed the last games of the season and I’m already looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga. It’s a big challenge and for me, it’s the next step in my career,”

the 22-year-old added.

Klagenfurt’s opinion on Andy Irving

Irving was forced to quit playing for Munich in March. After that, he was to make a move and it all happened due to Türkgücü Münich’s bankruptcy filing this year.

Klagenfurt’s sporting director Matthias Imhof believes that Andy Irving will in fact start every game going forward and that he has the capacity to control the tempo of a contest.

“We are totally happy that we were able to realize this transfer despite well-known competition and win Andy for our club,”

Imhof told reporters.

“We are fully convinced of his qualities and are sure that he will play a central role in the team. This is a guy who can set the rhythm, play the last pass and become dangerous himself in the end.

“He’s still young and capable of development, but he already has experience at a high level.”

the Sporting Director added.
