About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Serie A sides Juventus and Atalanta have a good working relationship when it comes to transfers. Both the clubs will reignite this relationship this summer with multiple transfer negotiations happening between them.

Calcimercato.com reports that both the clubs are looking at each other for their summer targets. Juventus are looking to bring German star Robin Gosens from Atalanta. Meanwhile, Atalanta wants to land Juve youngster Gianluca Frabotta this summer.

The latest addition to this list is Juventus defender Merih Demiral. Atalanta is considering the Turkish international as the replacement for their defender Cristian Romero if he moves to Tottenham.

ATALANTA AND JUVENTUS TRANSFER HISTORY

Juventus and Atalanta have excellent histories dealing with transfers. During the 2020/21 season, the Old Lady sold Cristian Romero to Atalanta on an initial loan deal which was made permanent this summer. Juve purchased their Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski from Atalanta at the beginning of 2020.

The clubs are looking to go for negotiation talks over more players this summer. Robin Gosens is one player who has captured the interest of Juventus. The German has been prolific in attack for Atalanta playing in the left-wing back role. His performance in Euro 2020, especially his nation’s victory over Portugal has only added more interest for him.

The deal, however, looks uncertain with Atalanta only willing to let him go for huge transfer fees. The financial situation at Juventus meant that a move for the 27-year-old could be doubtful.

Juventus could sweeten the deal by giving Atalanta Gianluca Frabotta in return. The Bergamo based side is interested in Frabotta and consider him as an alternative for Gosens. Even if Gosens doesn’t move to Juventus, Atalanta looks determined to land Frabotta.

ROMERO CAN TRIGGER PLAYER TRANSFERS

The latest transfer rumour involves Cristian Romero. The player who only recently joined Atalanta permanently might not be staying with them for long. This, however, is due to the very strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur who wants to land the Argentine this summer.

If the move falls through, Atalanta will have to find a replacement in the defence. The player that the club is targeting is Juventus defender Merih Demiral. The Turkish international has found it difficult to cement his place in the Juve defence and subsequently could be sold for the right price.

Juventus currently values the 23-year-old centre-back at €35m. Atalanta mind find it hard to spend huge money on Demiral. But with the close relationship the clubs share, there could be players moving between them this summer.
