ATK Mohun Bagan FC passed the test of FC Goa after coming out on top with a 2-1 victory. The encounter was sure to be a thrilling one, as Juan Ferrando returned to face his former club. The Spaniard switched from FC Goa to the Mariners mid-season. This was only his 2nd match as ATKMB boss.
He has had a brilliant start to his new adventure. Ferrando has now won both games for his new franchise. They are back amongst the top 4 and only trail the top by 2 points. Meanwhile, Goa crashed to another defeat, their first in 5 matches. They continue to languish in the bottom half of the table and are 8th with 8 points.

Player of the Match :
Liston Colaco was sizzling down the left flank and was too hot to handle for FC Goa. He was a constant threat to the Goan defense and was at the heart of every attack.
He also began proceedings after a well-taken goal and was named Hero of the Match. This was his 5th goal of the season. His prolific display in front of goal has earned him a nailed-on place in the starting XI.
