Though he had a strong performance to be proud of, Ousmane Dembele, another member of the team, was in trouble before the break. The Barcelona winger could hardly support himself against Marcos Acuna and Angel di Maria after giving up a penalty early in the game.

Upamecano has acknowledged Dembele as his favorite player despite this, though. When asked about his favorite player by BeIN Sports (via FCB World), the Frenchman named Dembele.

He was also questioned about the toughest opponent he has ever encountered.

Ousmane Dembele is the most challenging striker I have faced on defense, according to Upa.

Who is this player from Bayern Munich?

Most recently, when Barcelona twice met Bayern in the group rounds of the Champions League, Dembele faced Upamecano. The latter team triumphed on both occasions and turned in a particularly strong performance in the 2-0 victory at the Bayern Munich Allianz Arena.

Despite this, Upamecano has stated that Dembele is his favorite player. The Frenchman selected Dembele when BeIN Sports (via FCB World) questioned him about his favorite player.

He was also asked about the most challenging Bayern Munich foe he has ever faced.

According to Upa, Ousmane Dembele is the most difficult attacker I have faced on defense.

The reporter then naturally brought up Lionel Messi, who scored two goals against Upamecano in the World Cup final. He disagreed though, adding, “No, not Messi. I can see Ousmane. He travels quite swiftly.
