Bayern Munich might face problems ahead of their Freiburg fixture

Bayern Munich has faced a challenging few weeks with several injuries and a busy fixture schedule. However, the upcoming match against Freiburg on matchday seven poses a fresh challenge for Thomas Tuchel’s team.

Over the past seven years, Bayern Munich has managed to secure victory on matchday seven only once. Furthermore, in the last four seasons, the team has experienced their first defeat of the campaign on matchday seven on three occasions.

Freiburg demonstrated last season in the DFB-Pokal that they are capable of securing victories at the Allianz Arena. This adds to the challenge for the Bavarians. Nevertheless, there are encouraging aspects that Bayern can carry into their match against Christian Streich’s team.

Will Bayern Munich face a difficulty in their upcoming match against Freiburg?

The German club has maintained an unbeaten record against Freiburg in the Bundesliga since 2015. Meanwhile Freiburg is undergoing an inconsistent start to the season. Although it will be a challenge, Bayern Munich remains confident in their ability to overcome Freiburg, as expressed by Thomas Tuchel during a pre-match press conference.

Bayern Munich manager Tuchel said:

“Now I’m thinking about it for the first time. Afterwards, we played against Freiburg again and won in there. They are very flexible, they currently often change the basic order, man and space coverage… we have to concentrate on ourselves – and be awake on the pitch. The requirements may change a few times. They will do everything they can to make our lives difficult.”
