Bengaluru FC parted ways with Bruno and Roy

Bruno Ramires is a Brazilian footballer who started his career in Bahia, a Brazilian-based football club, in 2004. He joined Bengaluru FC in August 2021 on a two-year deal ahead of the Hero ISL 2021 season. This 29-year-old made his debut for the club against NorthEast United in the ISL, which ended in a 4-2 win. Bruno is one of the greatest factors for the Blues in reaching the 2022-23 ISL Season and 2023 Hero Super Cup. Despite his back injury, he was never disappointing and formed a crucial partnership with Sandesh Jhingan. Bruno has played 16 matches in Hero ISL 2022-23 season, the defender made 41 tackles, 34 clearances, 25 blocks, and 25 interceptions. While his skills will be missed across different positions on the field, the Brazilian will be known for his caliber. He is a stalwart and ready to march at the commands of the head coach.

Roy Krishna joined the Blues from the ATK Mohun Bagan ahead of the Hero ISL 2022-23 season. He debuted from the Labasa FC. He is the league’s fourth all-time high scorer with 41 goals in 81 games. Roy is one of the greatest creative strikers to have adorned the league. The Fijian wasn’t able to dampen his dominance with the new club, kicking into just three goals in the first ten games. The Blues goes on a starry 10-game winning run, where Krishna formed the deadliest partnership with Sivasakthi Narayanan. The duo along with the mid-field expert Javi Hernandez were at the edge of goals that saw the accessibility to the Hero ISL after three seasons. In all, Roy’s talent emerges to be a great help to the Blues for extending to the finals. Those were Hero ISL, Hero Super Cup, and Durand Cup.
