Blues are delighted with Benoit Badiashile

Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino expressed his delight in Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile after his first performance of the season last night.

Backdrop

Due to a hamstring injury, 22-year-old Benoit Badiashile has missed the first few months of the season. But yesterday, in the Carabao Cup, the French defender participated and got off to a start.

In the Round of 16, the Blues defeated Blackburn Rovers , a Championship team, 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. They then play host to Newcastle United in the quarterfinals in December. Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of the Blues. Gave Badiashile an hour to go before benching him—a wise move given his unavailability due to an injury.

Good Performance from Benoit Badiashile

The youthful center back scored the first goal inside the area with a superb left-footed finish. He also appeared calm and powerful when playing defense.

Through Chelsea’s official website, Pochettino commented on Badiashile’s midweek performance, saying: “It’s important to play and score in your first game [of the season].”

The majority of the Chelsea signings made during this era might be questioned, but Badiashile is one of the few exceptions that has turned out to be a huge success. Later on, his £35 million signing Benoit Badiashile could turn out to be a real steal.

The 22-year-old star already has such a composed and mature appearance for a backline defender.

Beniot Badiashile will have to fight

This season, there will be a lot of rivalry for spots in the center of Chelsea’s defense. But it wouldn’t surprise us if Badiashile wins out in the end.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported via X that Badiashile’s well-known chant against Blackburn was enthusiastically applauded by Chelsea’s home crowd. It is easy to understand why, in just 11 months in west London, the defender has grown to be a true fan favorite.

Chelsea’s next Premier League game is a difficult trip across London to play in-form Tottenham. We’re eager to see who the Blues starting back four will have next Monday night.

We anticipate that Benoit Badiashile will be rested once again as he works his way back up, but the next international break will give him more time to recover.
