Chelsea 3-1 Luton Town Analysis:

In such a snowy atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, the Blues got to a flying start after scoring two goals inside twenty minutes. Tammy Abraham scored the double after a poor display of defence from Luton Town.

However, soon after, the visitors decreased the lead after a brilliant volley from Jordan Clark that put Kepa Arrizabalaga under pressure. The Goalie should have done better.

The second half began with the visitors charging forward for the much-awaited equalizer in sights! However, Tammy Abraham completed his hat-trick assisted by the super sub Callum Hudson-Odoi in the 74th minute.

Timo Werner missed a penalty in the 86th minute after a clumsy tackle by Luton Town player Clark. However, his poor form has been a major concern for Lampard.

Notable Performances:

Tammy Abraham (8.5/10) – The real hero of the match and deserves to be the Man of the Match. Anyways, a fine performance from the youngster.

Reece James (8/10) – James was one of the key players impressing in this fixture. A brilliant assist and then linking up well with Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the final stages.

Emerson Palmieri (5.5/10) – He was not displaying his best skills while defending. A clearance mistake might have even ended up in ah gola for the visitors but Kepa was back to the rescue.

However, the Blues next play Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Wednesday evening. The next few fixtures would be crucial for Lampard to impress the hierarchy at the club and good results might help him from the sack.
