Premier League giant Chelsea want to sign Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman and are prepared to offer a transfer fee of 60M. However, not just Chelsea who are interested in signing the winger. Liverpool and Manchester United also joined the race to sign the 26-year-old.
The Blues already signed Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, while also agreed deals to sign Aston Villa’s Omari Kellyman, Palmerias’ Estevao Willian, and Barcelona’s young striker Marc Guiu. The new head coach Enzo Maresca wants to sign some new players in the summer transfer window to strengthen the squad depth further.
According to some reports, the Blues are looking for two attacking players in the summer. Recently, Chelsea missed the signing of Crystal Palace’s winger Michael Olise, before German side Bayern Munich snatched the 22-year-old from the Blues. So, now the club wants to sign the 26-year-old winger Ademola Lookman of Italian Club Atalanta.

Ademola Lookman joined Atalanta on a four-year contract in 2022. Since then the Nigerian performed brilliantly in Atalanta, scoring 32 goals in 78 matches for Atalanta. Last season Lookman appeared 45 times for the club across all competitions, scored 17 goals, and bagged 9 assists. On Thursday, Atalanta named Ademola Lookman as their player of the season.
The 26-year-old came into the spotlight after scoring a hattrick in the Europa League Final against Bayer Leverkusen, the club which was unbeaten in the whole season. Since then many big clubs wanted to sign the Nigerian in the summer after his stunning performance last season.
Will Ademola Lookman join Chelsea?
Getting Lookman will not be an easy task for Chelsea. Liverpool and Manchester United are in the race to get the Nigerian. Liverpool is preparing a bid of 50M for Ademola Lookman. Manchester United is expected to make a similar deal. United are confident to land the 26-year-old at Old Trafford because of their good relationship with Atalanta. In the past, United signed two youngsters Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo from the Seria side.
But the Blues are also confident that the Nigerian will choose Chelsea over other clubs. Chelsea are keen to bring Ademola Lookman at Stamford Bridge. According to some reports, the Blues are willing to pay up to a transfer fee of 60M for the 26-year-old.
Chelsea are also looking for more attacking players in the summer. The Blues already planned for new players if they failed to sign Ademola Lookman in the transfer window. As per some reports, Leed United’s Cryssencio Summerville is also under the blues reader. Leeds failed to promote to the English top flight after they lost to Southampton in the Championship Playoff final. So, the club wants to sign some of their star players in the summer. The Blues want to get Leed’s winger Summerville, if they fail to make Lookman’s deal possible.
