Chelsea looking forward to get Leo Castledine as contract talks emerge

According to reports, Chelsea has beeen initiating discussions with a promising young talent. That is to secure his commitment to a new contract. The Athletic has revealed that the Blues are actively working towards extending the deal with Leo Castledine. His existing contract concludes at the end of the season.

Castledine has been emerging as a crucial player for the U21 side this season. Thus, consistently featuring prominently in both the Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.

In the Premier League 2, he has showcased remarkable performance, contributing more goals than the number of games played. Castledine has particularly excelled in an attacking midfield position. His outstanding form has earned him recognition, leading to a call-up to the senior side’s bench during their recent EFL fixture against Blackburn Rovers.

Regarded as ‘highly-rated’ within the club, Castledine has garnered immense support from coaches who are reported to be significant admirers of his talent. Given that his existing contract concludes at the end of the season, his performances for both club and country have convinced the Blues of the imperative to retain him.

Can Chelsea successfully sign Leo Castledine?
