Chelsea might loan out or release Broja in the upcoming transfer window

Inter Milan might contemplate the signing of a Chelsea player in the January transfer window. Armando Broja has seen limited starts in the Premier League this season. Hence, he could potentially slip down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge if Chelsea secures a new striker.

Should Chelsea make the 22-year-old Armando Broja available for loan, Inter Milan would contemplate securing his services. Even if Chelsea refrains from signing a new center-forward in January, Broja could still face the prospect of a diminished role.

Christopher Nkunku has made a successful return from injury. Thus, scoring a comeback goal on his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. With the Frenchman back and demonstrating his capabilities, it is conceivable that he could secure a starting position ahead of Broja up front.

Several factors may need to align before Chelsea actively considers loaning out Broja to other clubs. The necessity to sign another center-forward, particularly with Nicolas Jackson heading to the Africa Cup of Nations, is a primary consideration. Additionally, the kind of center-forward Chelsea may be seeking is likely to be challenging to secure in the winter transfer window.

Chelsea might wait till summer for a new center forward

Clubs are generally reluctant to part with their top scorers in the midst of the season. Hence, it wouldn’t be surprising if Chelsea finds it necessary to wait until the summer to secure a new No. 9. In the interim, they might continue with Broja as an option.

A loan move for Broja cannot be ruled out. If Nkunku stays fit, starts as the frontman, and continues to score goals, it would be a considerable challenge for Broja to secure a spot in the team. In such a scenario, Broja might consider that a temporary departure is in his best interest.

Indeed, the outcome is likely to depend significantly on whether Chelsea can successfully sign a striker in the upcoming month. The club’s decision regarding Broja’s future may hinge on their ability to secure the services of a new striker.
