Dan Burns thinks Manchester City to be the superior team than Arsenal

Dan Burn has been describing Manchester City as the best possible team in the Premier League. Thus, placing them above teams like Arsenal. While discussing Manchester City’s 3-3 draw against Tottenham on Sunday, the Newcastle defender shared his perspective on The Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Arsenal moved to the top of the league table and as 2 points ahead of Liverpool with a 2-1 win over Wolves. However, Dan Burn expressed the belief that Manchester City is still ‘by far’ the best team in the league. He noted that Arsenal has been grinding out positive results. However, City, though possibly experiencing a hangover from last year’s historic treble, remains the standout side in his opinion.

During his appearance on the Monday Night Club, Burn acknowledged having a good impression with Tottenham’s performance. The Newcastle defender asserted that Manchester City had a somewhat shaky start to the season. However, they continue to be the favorites in the Premier League.

What did the Newcastle defender say about Arsenal and Manchester City?

Burn said:

“Knowing that I’ve been there [Etihad Stadium] on numerous occasions and been battered. The thing with City as well, you can go there and just be demoralised, you won’t even get a kick!”

“They’re constantly creating chances, whereas other teams you always feel like there’s a chance.”

Taking current form into consideration, Arsenal undeniably displayed the most consistency in the division. As reflected in the league table. However, there is an expectation that Manchester City will likely improve in the upcoming weeks. Particularly with the return of Kevin De Bruyne from injury.

Arsenal took an early lead last season. But Guardiola’s side ultimately took the lead towards the latter part of the season. However, this time around, Arsenal seems to possess a different resolve. Thus, consistently producing results even when not performing at their absolute best.
