Danish Farooq to Bengaluru FC confirmed

As per our predictions earlier, the Indian Super League side, Bengaluru FC have roped in Danish Farooq on a 2-year-contract.

Danish is a 25-year-old attacker originating from Jammu and Kashmir who used to play for Real Kashmir before joining the Blues. Farooq is also known as the ” Kashmiri Ronaldo”, he earned the nickname because of his amazing attacking prowess.

Danish also played a major role in the snow leopard’s journey to I-League‘s 1st division. He also became the joint top scorer of the league.

The first-ever Kashmiri to play for the Blues

Danish has spent his youth years playing for J&k Bank football academy, he has also won and led the team to 12 titles. Due to his exceptional performance, he got the chance to represent Lonestar Kashmir in the I-League second division. After playing one season for them, he joined Real Kashmir from there.

“BFC is one of the best clubs in the country, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of it. My immediate challenge is to do well in the AFC Cup and the Indian Super League. My ultimate goal is to achieve success with the club and to grow as a player”, said Danish.

“Having played with Real Kashmir for 5 years, I am glad to know Bengaluru FC was monitoring my progress. When I got a call from my agent, who told me that BFC are interested in signing me. We felt it is the best option for me to grow as a player and showcase my talent at the highest level”, Danish further added.

Danish is an attack-minded player who has exceptional attacking prowess and could play in any attacking position. Be it attacking mid, attacking Wings, or as a Striker. He has made 48 appearances for the team in I-League and has 7-goals and 5-assists to his name. Danish will come in really handy for the Blues because of his versatility.
