David Ornstein has given his thoughts on the speculation linking Arsenal with Victor Osimhen ahead of the January transfer window.

Arsenal Targets

In recent weeks, the Gunners have been associated with one of the most sought-after players in international football.
For example, in November, TEAMtalk stated that Arsenal is eager to finalise a trade for Osimhen in the summer.

On The Athletic, Ornstein conducted a Q&A session where fans asked him questions on some of the most important issues facing English football right now.

When the season came to a close, a fan questioned Ornstein if he thought Arsenal could really activate Osimhen’s £112 million option.

Ornstein said, “I have no information to suggest that at the moment, but of course I suspect he is on the recruitment list of Arsenal and many other leading clubs.”

“The striker market should see another exciting summer. Low supply and high demand…
Osimhen is a player of the greatest calibre and a strong contender for the Ballons d’Or in the future.

As reported by PF, Christian Vieri, a former player for Inter Milan,. Stated last year that “Osimhen is really good. He will be one of the best in the world in a year.”

He has continued to grow since then, and this year he helped Napoli win their first Serie A championship since 1990.

Osimhen was called “the world’s best centre-forward” and a “more complete No. 9” than Erling Haaland in a February Daily Mail piece.

The Nigerian international has made 15 club appearances this season, tallying seven goals and two assists. In his 27 total Super Eagles outings, he has scored 20 goals as well.

Osimhen would be a fantastic addition to Arsenal, who would undoubtedly advance farther with him in their ranks.

He won’t come cheap, though, and the Gunners will have to put in a lot of effort. Both on and off the ball to prove they are a team deserving of his talents.
