De Bruyne Out for a Month after picking up an Injury against Aston Villa

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Kevin De Bruyne picked an injury in the 58th-minute mark against Aston Villa.

At first, it looked it was an impact injury after a challenge between Jack Grealish and De Bruyne. But after the game in the post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola revealed that it could be a muscle injury.

“Kevin put his hand on his leg, so I have the feeling it will be something muscular. It is normal, these things happen with this amount of games.”

– Pep Guardiola in the post-match conference.

Like Guardiola said if it was a muscle injury then he might have to be sidelined for quite a while than it was expected at first. In this season the Belgian already had some injury problems and it seems another lengthy injury for him.

WHO IS IN MANCHESTER CITY’ INJURY LIST EXCEPT DE BRUYNE?

In a very problematic season with pandemic and outbreak of covid positive cases in the City squad. Also, injury to Sergio Aguero but still Manchester City in a pretty great situation in the league.

They are the favorites to win the Premier League this season after what has happened with Liverpool and they will be top if they can win the remaining game they have. Which shows the depth of Guardiola’s side.

In the last game against Aston Villa, Kyle Walker also limped off in the first half after yet another collision with Grealish.

“I haven’t spoken to the doctor, If Kyle asks to be out, it is because something happened. Hopefully it is just a kick.”

– Pep Guardiola on Kyle Walker’s injury.

Manchester City won the match by 2-0 against Aston Villa and there was some controversy with the opening goal of Bernardo Silva nonetheless, City got the important three points from the game.
