Defender Enes Sipović signs for Kerala Blasters FC

Two times runners up of the top-flight league in India, the Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters FC have announced the signing of Enes Sipović on a season-long deal.

Before signing for the Yellow Army, Sipović had played 18 fixtures in his debut season in the ISL playing for the former champions Chennaiyin FC last campaign.

Born in Sarajevo, the 30 years old centre back started playing from a young age. At the age of 18 Romanian club, Oțelul Galați signed him on a three-year deal. After one year of signing at the club, he won the 2010-11 Liga I with the Oțelul Galați. Later he was loaned out to fellow Romanian clubs Petrolul Ploiești and Farul Constanța.

He also played for clubs based in Belgium(KVC Westerlo), Morroco( Ittihad Tanger, RS Berkane), and Saudi Arabia (od Al-Medina) in the latter stages of his career. Moreover, he represented the U-21 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sipović is the second overseas signing by the Kerala Blasters. The Blasters have signed Uruguayan midfielder Adrian as their first International singing

Sipović will add more stability to the Kerala Blasters backline that they missed last season. They conceded the 2nd highest number of goals after bottom-placed Odisha FC. And settled at the 10th position by the ending of the campaign.

The Blasters are soon going to have their pre-season, all the clubs will have enough time to train with the team and prepare for the ISL 2021-22.
