Donnarumma spotted laughing despite Milan losing

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Gianluigi Donnarumma spotted laughing on the pitch after the final whistle despite losing to Lazio in a very important game in Serie A for Milan’ race to the top four spots.

Milan lost to Lazio by 3-0 in a very crucial game. This defeat dropped the Rossoneri in 5th place. They were the contender for the Scudetto at one stage but now they are on the verge of losing out the top four spot.

However, after this disappointing defeat, Donnarumma seemed to be smiling after the game. Which pointed to the question that he doesn’t care about the result.

However, Sky Sports said that it is not right to say that. He met his old teammate Pepe Reina who has a big influence on his career and the two friends were just exchanging a few jokes that’s all.

Donnarumma to leave Milan in the summer?

The 22-year-old goalkeeper has a contract with the Rossoneri which will finish at the end of this season. And Initially, Milan offered Donnarumma €6 million net per season plus €1 million in bonuses for five years.

After The goalkeeper and his agent turned down that offer, Milan offered an improved contract of €7 million a year plus a €1 million bonus for five years. But Raiola and Donnarumma turned down that offer as well.

Finally, Milan offered a two-year contract with a €30-35 million release clause in case of non-qualification for the Champions League. But they haven’t answered this proposal. The report claims that Raiola wants €12 million a year in salary for his client for the contract extension.

This situation created a huge dilemma for Milan. However, they lined up LOSC Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan as the replacement for Donnarumma if he doesn’t sign the contract extension and leave for free at the end of this season.

It will be interesting to see if Donnarumma decides to sign the contract extension or not. The Donnarumma saga can be the story of the upcoming summer transfer window.
