Ed Woodward has reportedly told Solskjaer to offload three players to fund a center-back in the Summer Transfer window.

Manchester United Executive Vice-Chairman has told Solskjaer that Sergio Romero, Marcus Rojo and Phil Jones have to be offloaded in order for them to complete the signing of Sevilla‘ Jules Kounde.

Jules Kounde‘ unique defensive talent has taken the world of football by storm. His recent performances have helped him earn the praise of being the ‘Most Talented Player of his Generation‘.

The Frenchmen is United’s top transfer target and they are eager to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, United could face stiff competition from PSG, Real Madrid, and Juventus. They are also interested in signing the 22-year-old.

WOODWARD NEEDS SOLSKJAER TO BIN PLAYERS BEFORE BUYING NEW PLAYER

According to Daily Express, Ed Woodward has told Solskjaer that the three players must leave. The funds they would get from their sale would be reinvested in order to acquire a new central defender.

United who are second in the Premier League haven’t spent any money on strengthening their defense last summer. This was largely because they were looking to bring in more attacking options.

However, the Premier League Giants are keen on adding to their current defensive firepower, and signing Kounde would be the icing on the cake considering how brilliant he is defensively.

However, Kounde’s contract with Sevilla goes on till 2024. And Sevilla have made it clear that they would want a fee of around 65 million. Hence United will have to shell out a huge amount of money in order to land the young promising Frenchmen.
