According to a report by Mirror, Eden Hazard has finally broken his silence about leaving Real Madrid this summer. The Belgian has been linked with a return to his former club Chelsea in recent weeks, while AS Roma is also in line.
Hazard lit up Stamford Bridge during his 7-year stay at Chelsea since he joined from Lille in 2012. He had appeared 352 times while bagging 110 goals and 92 assists. During his stay, he won the Premier League and the Europa League two times, while he lifted the FA cup for one time.
It was his tremendous performance and potential which got him his dream move to Real Madrid in 2019. The Spanish giants signed Hazard as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo for a whopping sum of €100 million.
But the transfer has failed badly as he has been labeled a flop transfer. In his first season, he only appeared 22 times while scoring only one goal in all competitions. While the Belgian winger also faced trouble by a serious ankle injury in his first season.
The same story continued this season as he was out of the team for most of the games facing frequent injury. He has only appeared 21 times while scoring just 4 goals in all competitions this season.
Following his poor form, it was believed that Madrid is ready to load off the Belgian superstar this summer. However, Hazard has broken his silence and said that he would be staying in the club till his contract ends.

Hazard has only appeared 43 times while scoring just 5 goals since leaving Stamford Bridge two years ago. The Belgian had been not been the same star as he was in Chelsea.
Hazard has been out of form over two seasons, while the frequent injuries followed him in his career. He has apologized to Real Madrid because of his poor form while stating that he has a point to prove at Madrid.
The Belgian winger also ruled out the option of moving back to England. He prefers to stay in Spain until his contract expires, which is three more seasons.
This was Hazard’s exact words during the press conference “I still have a three-year contract with Real Madrid, so going back to England is out of the question. Everyone knows that my first two years were not good, so first I want to prove myself at Real Madrid. I will do everything to do that.”
He added “I certainly don’t see myself leaving Madrid, given the contract situation. I know myself and I know when I’m in shape. If that’s the case, I can give it my all for Real next season. That’s my plan.”
Currently, Hazard is on international duty as he has been included in the 26 man squad for Euro 2020. Belgium is in Group B with Denmark, Russia and, Finland. Their first match will be against Russia on 12 June.
