Farrukhjon Ibrokhimov is a 27-year-old Uzbekistan Footballer, who currently plays for FC Buxoro, in Superliga, Uzbekistan’s 1st tier League. He started his career from the U-21 side of Uzbek club, Loko Tashkent and went on further to play for the senior side.
The Centre-back from Uzbekistan has vast experience playing for different clubs in the 1st Tier League of the country. Farrukh last played for FC Buxoro in the Superliga. And he has 1 assist in all 9 games he played, which is quite good. He is now, looking forward to take up a new challenge.
In an Exclusive Interview with Football Express, he shares his feelings about Indian Football. He also shared with us his desire to come to India and take up this new challenge in India. Also, he shared with us why India was before any country.
HOW DID YOUR JOURNEY AS A FOOTBALLER BEGIN ?
“From Childhood, I liked the game of football very much. At a very early age, I started playing football. Also, my father really encouraged me very much in this field, and again it is all because of my family’s support, I am here today. Because of my father, I liked the game very much and therefore I chose the game of football as my career.”
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL MATCH IN YOUR CAREER. WHAT WAS YOUR DRIVING FORCE THEN?
“I was really excited for that situation. Primarily I was really very excited, that it. I thought of all the sides and all the possiblities that could happen. And then took the blessings of my parents. At the end, I knew that my family was behind me at any situation. And that was the strongest driving force at that moment for me.”
AS A PERSON, WHO SUPPORTED THE MOST IN YOUR JOURNEY AS A FOOTBALLER?
“As a person, in my journey as a footballer till date, I was supported by my brother in every moment. Like, finding clubs for me at a very early age. And speaking to the different agencies of the countries worldwide and others.”
HOW WAS THE FAN PRESSURE IN THE 1st PROFESSIONAL GAME THAT YOU PLAYED?
“I was really excited abut this that how the fans would react after seeing me for the first time in the professional background. My first and formost objective, when I stepped into the field was to make less and very few misakes and also take the right decision as to when to go for the tackle and how to block the other ‘big footballers’ as my opponent.”
FARRUKHJON, PLAYING IN UZBEKISTAN’S TOP-TIER LEAGUE, HOW DIFFICULT WAS IT TO MAKE A MARK THERE?
“As usual, the difficulties happen in the practise and trials, and to adapt with the nature of practise. And you know that being a young individual there are difficulties that do come up in getting a chance among the seniors in the team. And when finally my chance came up, it just wanted to give my best and make as much as possible, a mark there.”
WHY WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME TO INDIA AT THIS STAGE OF YOUR CAREER?
“I have watching Indian Movies and I now would like to take up a new challenge in my career. I have been playing in my country since the beginning of my career. And also I think that I could make a mark there considering the climate and the natural conditions there. And many players from my country have played and made a mark there and so I would prefer India than any other country. Also, I like the culture of India very much and it is really very close to my soul. The competition is really very tight there and I have very much belief in myself that i can prove my quality there.”
FARRUKHJON, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR SCOPE IN ISL OR I-LEAGUE IN INDIA?
“Now, I am playing in a grand league, which is the Superliga, the 1st-tier league in my country and my primary interest would be to play in the Indian Super League and I have full faith in myself that I can show my quality there and gain the Interest of the clubs and the faith of the fans.”
AS WE HAVE SEEN THAT MANY PLAYERS FROM UZBEKISTAN HAVE PLAYED IN THE I-LEAGUE, WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM THEM?
“I specifically consider myself to be a very hard-working personality and have full confidence in myself that I can make myself suitable for any position at the back. Also I can cover all part of the ground at the back. I am really ready for all the challenges upcoming in the league. Am confident of taking up this new challenge. I can also lead the defensive organisation in the crucial situation when required and through my hard work I can catch the eye of the supporters. Also as I have seen that for a defender my height can be ideal and therefore I can compete with any possible team there.”
FARRUKHJON, WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CONTRIBUITION, YOU CAN MAKE TO YOUR TEAM?
“I can gurantee that I can add to my team a good leadership quality that would help the team very much and therefore I can say that if a team chooses me, I will not disappoint them. I will give my 100% and promise that I can really do something good for the team.”
AS YOU ARE AWARE OFTHE INDIAN CULTURE, WHICH TEAM WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN IN THE INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE?
“Thank You for mentioning that I am interested in Indian Culture, I can say that, primarily I have an interest in the Indian Super League, which is the 1st-tier league in India. I will obviously play for the team I will sign and will give my 100% on the field”
We all know that how difficult it is for a foreign player to come and adjust with the climatic conditions and make a mark on the field. Also, we are also aware of the fact that how impatient the Indian football fans are. He has come a long way up from the U-21 side of the team from where his started his footballing career. And now he is known all over Uzbekistan and slowly he will make his mark in India.
He also has offers from Indian Super league clubs and also I-league clubs. We wish him all the best for his future and will be always beside him in any case.
