FC Nasaf 6-0 ATK Mohun Bagan: Uzbek side sink the Mariners

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

FC Nasaf hit ATK Mohun Bagan for 6 as they suffered their biggest defeat yesterday. The Indian Super League runner-ups did not manage to send a single shot on target. FC Nasef on the other hand took as much as 29 shots as they ghosted past the defence at will.

The score was 5-0 at half and Mohun Bagan, who were donning their white jersey, were completely white-washed. 3 goals went in before the 20th minute as the players lost hope with over an hour of play to go. Terrible marking, multiple lapses in concentration and the inability to co-ordinate any parts of the field cost ATK Mohun Bagan.

FC Nasef on the other hand left their opponents hapless as they continuously picked out on the same flaw. Continuous movement, positional awareness and an enthralling home crowd allowed them to breeze into the finals.

FC Nasaf 6-0 ATK Mohun Bagan :The Game

FC Nasaf allowed ATK Mohun Bagun to kick off the party as the visitors conceded an early own-goal. A good delivery into the box from a corner was the cause. Carl McHugh aimless headed the ball into his own teammate Pritam Kotal. The defender deflected the ball into the net as the home team took the lead.

The second one came soon enough as Nasrullayev overlapped past Sahil on the left to swing in a low cross. The ball rolled past 3 defenders and the goalkeeper leaving Norchayev with an empty net.

They made it 3 before the 20th minute as FC Nasaf took as much as 3 shots before actually scoring. Mohun Bagan failed to clear the ball from the 6 yard box and Norchayev blasted the ball into the roof of the net after missing once.

Norchayev completed his hattrick after 10 minutes as he walked past the defence unmarked. Mozgovoy pulled all the defenders towards him before releasing his teammate who calmly completed his hattrick.

Just before the half-time interval, Saitov drove into the box and drilled a low cross towards the 6 yard box. A lucky Bozorov got on the scoresheet as the ball deflected into net after reaching him.

The final goal saw Stanojevic given all the time and space on earth. He calmly sent in a low ball in the path of a rushing Narzullaev. Without wasting a second, Narzullaev rifled the shot past a hapless Amrinder Singh.
