Undoubtedly, Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp both want to return the trophy to the Emirates and Anfield, respectively, but it’s really difficult to predict who will win this championship fight right now.
Les Ferdinand made a wild guess when appearing on Amazon Prime Sport, despite the fact that this race is extremely difficult to forecast.
Ferdinand Bets on Liverpool
Although Ferdinand, a legend from Tottenham and Newcastle, doesn’t necessarily have a horse in this race, he thinks Liverpool will win.
The pundit gave his verdict on who will win the title.
“The top three or four teams in the league at the moment. The team I like at the moment is Liverpool. Nobody is talking too much about them. Everyone was saying about next year and building a team for it, but they are coming up on the rails, getting result after result, scoring goals, winning games. They are where they want to be but nobody is talking about them at the moment and I think they will like that,’ Ferdinand said.
Although, as Ferdinand points out, Liverpool isn’t getting much attention right now, they have been quite good this year.
The Reds would have gone undefeated this season if not for Luis Diaz’s disallowed goal against Tottenham. They haven’t been great in every game, but they are winning.
The Reds are playing beautifully, and if they can maintain this pace, they have a good chance of finishing first at the end of the season. Which also looks likely to happen.
