Givson Singh Moirangthem has signed a new contract with Kerala Blasters. As a result, he will be staying with the Club for one more year till 2024. He made his debut last season by coming on as a substitute in the 86th minute on the 2nd of January 2020.
Player History
Givson comes from Moirang, a little town within the state of Manipur an electrifying state that loves football. Givson starts his football journey with Punjab FC. At Punjab FC he performed exceptionally where he caught attention. As a result, he ended up in the India youth set up for football where he proved his mettle again.
In 2016, he advanced to the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Elite Academy and for 3 years he practised and trained with them. His hard work and talent were once again acknowledged as he was selected in the Indian Arrows team.
He played for the Indian team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship in Malaysia. Furthermore, he was an integral part of the team. Further on, he has represented the National U-17 team several times. Also made his U-19 debut against Russia in a world U-19 friendly on 4 June 2019.
He played for a brief period of time with Indian Arrows following which he signed for Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League edition 7.
Kerala Blasters are into their pre-season training since July 30 and are under the supervision of head coach Ivan Vukomanovic. Enes Sipovic and Adrian Luna are two foreigners whose signings have already been confirmed by the club officials. Both players will join the team officially after completing their quarantine. Following which they will join the team training.
The club is looking forward to playing three pre-season friendlies. Kerala Blasters will face against Kerala United and Jammu & Kashmir Bank FC in those matches. The first friendly match is against Kerala United on 20 August.
