Hakim Ziyech could be on his way to Milan on a loan from Chelsea

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Chelsea is looking to revamp its attacking options in this transfer window. The Blues have already offloaded Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan earlier in this window. While Hakim Ziyech is expected to follow the Belgian soon and secure a move to AC Milan.

Ziyech has been linked to the Rossoneri by multiple reports and a deal is said to be in the final stages. AC Milan have offered €5 million for a one-year loan. The Rossoneri has also offered to include a €20 million obligation to buy.

Both the clubs have agreed on the loan fee and the term of the loan. However, the clubs have not been able to agree on the obligation to buy. Chelsea are pushing for an obligation to buy for €25 million instead of the €20 million proposed by AC Milan.

Hakim Ziyech will add much-needed depth to the Rossoneri

The reigning Serie A champions have relied heavily on their full-backs for creating goalscoring opportunities since the departure of Hakan Çalhanoğlu.

Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelaemaekers, and Junior Messias have provided 10 assists between them across all competitions. It is a poor record for players that have made 25 appearances each across all competitions.

Stefano Pioli has justifiably identified the need for creativity in his attacking options. Hakim Ziyech is widely known for his creativity and can be an excellent addition to the squad.

The Moroccan has the ability to whip in crosses from both wings. Moreover, the winger also possesses the ability to take set-pieces for his team. The multi-dimensional nature of the player makes him a lucrative option for the Rossoneri. The player is also available rather cheaply and represents an excellent opportunity in the modern-day transfer market.

Both the clubs will be hoping to come to an agreement for the transfer and finalize the deal soon. It will be interesting to see if Hakim Ziyech will be able to add the creativity that Milan desperately seeks.
