Hyderabad FC 5-1 NorthEast United FC: Player Ratings, Player of the Match

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

In a one-sided contest, Hyderabad FC thrashed NorthEast United 5-1 at the GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Goa. Rapid fire goals from Chinglensana, Bartholomew Ogbeche (2), Aniket Jadhav and Javier Siverio gave Manolo Marquez’s side all 3 points.

NEUFC did pull one back through Laldanmawia Ralte, but it was purely consolation at that point. The Highlanders slipped to their 2nd consecutive loss of the season, raising a lot of eyebrows. Khalid Jamil will now feel the pressure and must remedy his shaky side as soon as possible.

Brilliant individualism from both Indian and foreign players made the Nizams’ 5-star display possible. They showed superior coordination and communication on the pitch which was clear from the score-line at the end.

Player of the Match

Grabbing the Hero of the Match award with a stunning performance was Hyderabad FC’s Asish Rai. Post-match Rai was quoted: “This (win) was very important for us. We wanted to get all three points. It wasn’t an easy challenge because they (NorthEast United FC) are a tough team.”

It was another good showing for the right-back, who has been consistent this term. As usual, he was all over the pitch, aiding in attack and coming back on defence. Rai recorded 2 clearances, 3 interceptions and 3 blocks, whilst delivering 5 crosses for his forwards.
