Hyderabad FC has cleared all the dues, and the transfer ban is expected to be lifted soon

HYDERABAD FC

The 2021–22 Hero Indian Super League Champions Hyderabad FC have been faced with a transfer ban. The ban was imposed at the start of August. This is a continuation of the transfer ban that took place in November last year.

Why did Hyderabad FC face a transfer ban?

Earlier this year, on February 14, 2023, a transfer ban was imposed on the club due to a complaint filed by former player Nestor Gordillo. Nestor, the Spanish midfielder, was part of HFC’s 2019–20 season.

The transfer ban has been imposed since November 2022 and will last until the amount is paid. Due to the transfer ban, Hyderabad FC cannot register any of their new signings.

Moreover, one of the club’s foreign players from the 2022–23 season has approached FIFA over the nonpayment of salaries. This thing makes the matter worse and creates more difficulties.

Ahead of the upcoming season, Hyderabad FC has completed the signings of Vignesh Dakshinamurthy, Makan Chothe, and Jonathan Moya. But the new entrants cannot be registered until the ban is activated. Hyderabad FC needs to solve this issue as soon as possible; otherwise, they will face trouble forming a strong squad.

Hyderabad FC’s transfer ban will be lifted soon:

According to multiple sources, Hyderabad FC has cleared all the dues. As a result, the transfer ban is going to be lifted soon. The Yellow and Black Army will register their new signings as soon as the transfer ban is officially lifted.

Hyderabad FC in the Durand Cup 2023:

Hyderabad FC is placed in Group E of the Durand Cup along with Delhi FC, Tribhuvan Army FC, and Chennaiyin FC. HFC shared a point with Delhi FC in the first match while losing the second against Chennaiyin FC. Hyderabad FC is now in third place in the group with a single point.
