Chennai City FC 0-2 Real Kashmir FC: POST-MATCH ANALYSIS

In a tough match where chances were very few and both teams cancelled each other out in the middle of the pitch. Dicka’s sixteen-minute strike and a late goal by substitute L Ral turned the fate into the hands of Kashmir.

Chennai dominated the possession for much of the match, but Kashmir’s counter-attacking play earned them three points. For all their possession in the final third, Chennai seemed Ineffective in attack with no one able to penetrate the defence of the Snow Leopards. Even from set plays, Chennai failed to deliver any threat.

Perhaps Chennai being the better team for the first half, Kashmir went with the one-goal advantage at half time. Although Chennai played a very high line even at one point they had ten men inside Kashmir’s half the ability to create a clear goal-scoring chance was missing.

In the eighty-fourth minute, Dicka turned provider as he played a through ball and Ralte capitalized on it and doubled the score for Kashmir, which sealed the victory.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCE:

Dipanda Dicka: Scored one goal as well as assisting one, participated in both the goals which make him the hero of the match.

Real Kashmir will face Sudeva Delhi this Tuesday at Kalyani Stadium in I-League, and Cehnnai City will go against TRAU this Sunday at Salt Lake Stadium.
