Bidyashagar Singh is all set to join Indian Super League outfit Bengaluru FC. According to the sources Bidyashagar has received offers from 4 different clubs. All clubs are from the Indian Super League.
The 23-year-old forward is one of the top emerging players in the I-League. Bidyashagar has scored 12 goals in 12 matches which also made him the Golden boot winner in the Domestic league. If everything goes according to the plan the Blues will surely sign Bidyashagar.
Bidyashagar might be part of Bengaluru’s transition phase. Bengaluru had their worst season in 2020-21. they ended up 7th in on the table. Things have never been the same after that. They have released players like Dimas Delgado, Rahul Bheke, and Harmanjot Khabra. So, the Blues would be keen to sign the youngster to fill the gaps.
Young Bidyahsagar’s career so far
Bidya is still only 23-year-old but has already made a name for himself. Bidyashagar started his professional footballing career with East Bengal, where he played for the U-18 side first, and then was promoted to the main team. Bidyashagar has also represented West Bengal in the Santosh trophy 2017-18, he scored 4 goals in that competition.
Despite giving promising performances for East Bengal, they still did not retain him while going to the Indian Super League. Because of which Bidya joined TRAU FC, and the rest is history. Bidya the little fox in the box grabbed every possible opportunity and scored 12 goals in 12 matches.
TRAU needed him in the final match against Gokulam Kerala, where TRAU had to defeat Gokulam to take the trophy home. And Bidyashagar delivered also, he scored the first goal and took TRAU one step ahead of Gokulam. But Gokulam came too hard in the second half and overwhelmed TRAU by scoring 4 goals. TRAU lost to Gokulam by 1-4 however, Bidyashagr wrapped several individual awards after the match.
Bidya won The top scorer award, Hero of the season award, and also a spot in the I-League’s team of the season. Bidyashagar’s achievements surely turned a lot of heads and he got the recognition he deserved.
