Group Stage of the AFC Champions League
On April 4, 2023, the champions of the Hero Indian Super League Shield in 2021-22 (Jamshedpur FC) and 2022-23 (Mumbai City FC) will meet off in a one-off encounter.
Moreover, the Indian Super Cup winner will meet I-League champions Gokulam Kerala for a spot in the AFC Cup.

Group Stage of the AFC Champions League:-
On April 4, 2023, the champions of the Hero Indian Super League Shield in 2021-22 (Jamshedpur FC) and 2022-23 (Mumbai City FC) will meet off in a one-off encounter.
The game will be held in between Hero Super Cup games.
The victor of the game will be assured a position in the AFC Champions League Group Stage in 2023-24.
AFC Cup Group Stage Slot 2
This position will be decided by the champions of the Hero I-League 2021-22 (Gokulam Kerala FC) and the Hero Super Cup 2023. (TBD).
Moreover, if the Hero Super Cup 2023 champions have already qualified for Slot 1, Gokulam Kerala FC will receive an automatic berth in the AFC Cup 2023-24 Group Stage.
Gokulam Kerala FC would qualify for the AFC Cup 2023-24 Group Stage if they win the Hero Super Cup 2023.
If a qualifying match for Slot 2 is necessary, it will be held on April 29, 2023.
Preliminary Round of the AFC Cup
The winner of the Hero ISL 2021-22 Trophy (Hyderabad FC) and the Hero ISL 2022-23 Trophy will compete for this position (Bengaluru FC or ATK Mohun Bagan FC).
Since Hyderabad FC has already qualified for Slot 2. There would be no need for a qualifying match for Slot 3.
The Hero ISL 2022-23 Trophy winner will go to the AFC Cup 2023-24 Preliminary Round.
Moreover, if the champions of the Hero ISL Trophy 2022-23 have already qualified for Slot 2, there will be no need for a qualification match for Slot 3.
Hyderabad FC would be ineligible to compete in the AFC Cup 2023-24 Preliminary Round.
If a qualifying match for Slot 3 is necessary, it will be held on May 3, 2023. Moreover, or as determined by the AIFF.
