Inter Milan is looking to sign Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich. They want the Moroccan fullback as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries. Inter Milan was to sell the Dutch side back after the world cup.
Dumfries performance at the world cup grabbed the attention of several clubs including Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Manchester United. Dumfries played outstanding in their match against the USA assisting 2 and scoring 1 goal.
Mazraoui also enjoyed a good World Cup campaign with his national team defeating Spain and Portugal back to back in the knockouts. However, Morocco’s run came to an end after their defeat to France in the semifinal. They finished fourth place after getting defeated by Croatia.
Mazraoui to Inter and Dumfries to Bayern?
There could be a possible swap with cash involved in between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
Sources say that the Bavarians are interested in Dumfries which paves the way for Inter to bring the Moroccan defender. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the transfer will likely happen if Bayern moves for Dumfries.
Whereas Mazraoui recently made a move to the German club in the summer. If Bayern Munich decides to go for Dumfries, Mazraoui’s game time will decrease for sure. However, if Mazraoui comes to Inter, he will surely get a place in the starting 11.
Inter Milan has been interested in Mazraoui for quite a long time and will welcome his arrival at the club. Hence Bayern’s interest in the Dutch will make it convenient for inter to bag in the Morocco fullback.
Bayern Munich and Inter Milan both have qualified for the next stage in the Champions League. They will surely like to improve their squads once the European top flight begins. Bayern will face PSG while Inter Milan will face Porto FC in their round of 16 fixtures.
