Recently, Bayern Munich faced the challenge of knocking out Lionel Messi from the Champions League. They managed to achieve this after eliminating Paris Saint-Germain from the tournament.
Considering the circumstances, it’s possible that some PSG players still feel the sting of their early elimination from the Champions League. They may also hold some bitterness towards Bayern Munich. But that’s certainly not the case for Messi.
However, it appears that Lionel Messi “liked” a post made by Kimmich. His name appeared first in the list of people who had “liked” the post. But it is not clear if Messi’s social media activity is a clear indication of his future plans.
Will Messi leave Paris Saint-Germain?
It’s uncertain whether Bayern Munich would be willing to spend the reported €200 million in salary that Al Hilal is ready to offer Lionel Messi. But it’s possible. If they were to do so, it could be seen as a response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s failed attempt to join Bayern Munich last summer. However, Messi’s “like” on Joshua Kimmich’s post doesn’t necessarily indicate that he has any plans to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
It is possible that someone else is managing Messi’s social media accounts. They might accidentally liked Kimmich’s post while still logged into Bayern Munich’s account. It is also possible that the like was intentional. As Messi and Kimmich have played against each other several times in the past and have expressed mutual admiration for each other’s skills. However, it is impossible to know for sure without a statement from Messi or his representatives.
