Bengaluru FC close to the signing of Jayesh Rane from ATK Mohun Bagan

Bengaluru FC are in talks with ATK Mohun Bagan for the signing of Jayesh Rane. Bengaluru are making rapid moves in the transfer list. Jayesh have been playing for Mohun Bagan since 2017. Rane have made 54 appearances for Mohun Bagan since then and scored 3 goals throughout his career in Mohun Bagan.

Multiple reports are suggesting that Bengaluru FC are close to the signing of Jayesh Rane from Mohun Bagan. The 28-year-old midfielder have a contract that is ending on May 31. Following which he is looking to join Bengaluru who are currently preparing AFC campaign. According to the reports, the deal is in the advanced stages.

The Blues had a difficult Indian Super League campaign. Their campaign took an upside-down turn and from being uneaten to ending up on the 7th rank of the table. Bengaluru also failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time, in all meaning 2020-21’s Indian Super League season were neglectful for them. With just 5 wins in 20 matches, they performed below what they were capable of due to which head coach Carles Cadrat had to resign. Interim manager Naushad Moosa also couldn’t help much as they looked weak and confused during their fixtures.

Head coach Marco Pezzaiuoli’s visionary

After the appointment of Marco Pezzaiuoli as the new head coach and he seems to have quickly identified his desired targets. Jayesh can prove to be one of the important picks which can strengthen the midfield of Bengaluru, Something exactly what the blues need. Jayesh have been one of Antonio Habas’s trusted men for almost four years and now is an anchor for the team’s midfield. Having played as a Substitute and starting from the bench from the last season, Jayesh would also be looking for more game time. This could be a win-win situation for both parties. Reportedly SC East Bengal and North East United are also looking for Jayesh’s attention.

Sources are saying that with Jayesh Rane, Bengaluru FC are also fond of 23-year-old Bengali central defender Sarthak Golui to bolster their squad. Golui was a part of Mumbai City‘s team playing a total of four matches.
