After the sudden news of Blasters releasing most of their foreign players. This kind of news is nothing unexpected, they need to fill the vacancies. With talented players, now with the new 4 foreign player rule, Farukh and Chhangte might be the suitable choices.
Chhangte and Farukh the future of Kerala Blasters attack?
Farukh Choudhary was also a former Blasters player. Started his professional footballing career by joining Lonestar Kashmir in the I-League 2nd division where he scored 6 goals in 18 matches. After his successful campaign in the league, he was bought by Kerala Blasters, and then he got to play for Mumbai City on loan. Where he made his debut in January 2017 against DSK Shivajians as Mumbai won the match by 1-0.
He made his move to Jamshedpur FC after he got drafted in the 11th round 2017-18 player draft. He made his debut for the club in November 2017, and he played a total of 37 matches for Jamshedpur where he scored 3 goals for them.
Lallianzuala Chhangte on the other hand started playing football at the age of 5. But, Chhangte played his first professional match for DSK Shivajians in the 2014 U-19 I-League season. He scored a total of 16 goals and became the top scorer of the league. After which he was eventually loaned to NorthEast United where he made his debut in the Indian Super League 2016.
Chhangte then played for Delhi Dynamos (Odisha FC) where he played the 2017-18 season and then finally joined Chennaiyin FC on a 2-year contract. Since then, Chhangte has played 41 matches for them and has scored 11 times. But now his journey with Chennaiyin is coming to an end.
Kerala Blasters have made a great decision, and if they manage to pull both of these young talents into their squad. Then they will have way more pace than they used to have.
