Nim Dorjee in talks with Hyderabad FC

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Hyderabad FC are in talks with Northeast United FC for the move of 25-year-old defender Nim Dorjee Tamang. Nim is aiming for a move to Hyderabad FC and the talks are in an advanced stage.

Dorjee started his career with the Namche sports hostel before joining Air Force Academy from 2009 to 2010. After making appearances with the Indian under-16 team, Tamang joined Shillong Lajong’s youth team. Tamang then started to play for Shilong Lajong’s first-team squad for the 2014-15 season. Dorjee made his professional debut in 2014 against Pune in the Federation Cup.

Tamang made his competitive league debut in 2015 in the I-League against Royal Wahingdoh. He started the match but unfortunately lost it by 2-1. On 12th April 2015 Tamang scored his 1st goal in a 1-1 draw against Royal Wahingdoh in the I-League. In the same year, Tamang was up for the selection in the Indian Super League 2015 but unfortunately, no teams showed interest in him. Tamang remained unsold and continued with Shilong Lajong in the I-League.

After 2 years in 2017 finally Tamang got drafted to play for Pune City in the Indian Super League but ended up missing the 2017-18 season due to injuries. Dorjee made his return in 2018’s ISL season where he started as the right-back against Delhi Dynamos and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Nim then joined NorthEast United FC in 2019 where he plays as a center back till now.

Nim on his next move to Hyderabad FC

As Liston Colaco went to join ATK Mohun Bagan for a whopping transfer fee, Hyderabad FC are keen to bring Nim Dorje to their side, Dorjee would be a great addition to the team and will provide different dimensions to the gameplay. Dorjee would definitely gain a lot of experience playing alongside Chinglensana Singh, Akash Mishra, Ashish Rai, and others. Hyderabad are also working on the signing of Aniket Jadhav from Jamshedpur FC.
