Official: Hyderabad FC rope in Pritam Soraisam

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Hyderabad FC have completed the signing of prolific defender Pritam Soraisam. The 25-year-old left-back joins from East Bengal.

Soraisam is the sixth domestic new signing and ninth player to join the Nizams. After getting almost nil playing time at East Bengal, a reunion with Mr Thangboi Singto is on the cards.

Mr Singto, currently the assistant coach, brought him to Kerala Blasters earlier. After a season-long absence, he would be keen on making an impact. However, gaffer Manuel Marquez has yet another youngster who would be happy about playing for a club that offers a lot of promise towards youth development.

Hyderabad FC leaping towards its bright future after signing Pritam Soraisam

Soraisam made his professional debut playing for I-league side Shillong Lajong in 2014. He made 38 appearances for them across three seasons.

Despite getting a move to the Indian Super League, he appeared in just seven matches for East Bengal, Northeast United and Blasters combined. However, a move to Hyderabad FC will change his fortunes. But he would be facing good competition alongside Akash Mishra and Dimple Bhagat.

About the opportunity to play under head coach Roca, he said,

“I’m very excited and can’t wait to train under our coach Manolo. I have seen all of the games from last season and I really love the team’s playing style. At HFC, we have a very young and energetic squad and I hope we can push ourselves to achieve a lot this season.”

Singto has gathered a lot of praise after his youth development efforts at Shillong Lajong and Blasters and would be once again reunited with the left-back. The I-league side Lajong boasts about its youth development including the emergence of top-class players such as Eugeneson Lyngdoh and Seminlen Doungel.

Whereas Hyderabad FC are now moving in the same direction but with players like Bart Ogbeche and Juanan, they might be looking for nothing less than at least silverware for the upcoming season!
