Hyderabad FC will face a tough challenge against the defending Durand Cup and I League champions Gokulam
Sixteen teams take part in the group stages. Out of which top two teams in the group qualify for the knockout stages. Gokulam are tough opponents and last season they won the Cup-winning group D. The Malabarians are currently unbeaten in the competition.
In 2019, only the group winners used to qualify for the knockouts but now, the top two teams would be playing in the knockouts. First team Assistant coach Thangboi Singto, as well as Reserve coach Shameel Chembakath, would be the gaffers leading the team.
As a result, the squad could be a mix of first-team players along with HFC reserves. Additionally, the matches would be played across three stadiums, Mohun Bagan Stadium, Kalyani Stadium and Salt Lake Stadium.
After the first match, the Hyderabad club would face Gokulam Kerala on 16th September and then on 19th, they will face Army Red. The matches would be streamed on AddaTimes App and all matches would be at 3 pm.
