Stephen Eze may leave Jamshedpur FC for a European move

Stephen Eze may leave Jamshedpur FC as he has potential offers in Europe. And the Red Miners May miss their 6’6 towering Defender ahead of the next season.

To clarify that the 27-year-old Nigerian will not sign for any other club in the ISL (Indian Super League). Firstly Eze is not interested in playing for Jamshedpur FC as he is looking to move over to a European style tournament.

Certainly, his agent is in talks with some clubs in Europe. Additionally, Stephen Eze also received Three potential offers. Eze was the go-to player for the red miners after the skipper Peter Hartley. He made 20 appearances for JFC and Even scored four goals.

According to several sources, Jamshedpur FC is still trying to hold the player. However, Eze is keen on moving abroad.

We don’t think Eze will be with us in the ISL this time. Though his one-year contract has come to an end but we are keen to have him with us. But it seems all over.” – said a source close to JFC.

Moreover, Eze is serious to play for the national side of Nigeria and playing for European Clubs would help him in this direction.” – Further added the source.

Jamshedpur FC chief executive officer Mukul Choudhari said that Eze may not play for them in the future.

“He (Eze) is an asset for any side. Eze is a solid defender and is also very good at set pieces. We are still in talks with him but he is keen to turn out in the European circuit. – Said Mukul Choudhari.

Stephen Eze also represented Nigeria 13 times since 2016. Most importantly he was among the 30 man preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. However he didn’t make the final 23 man squad.

Most importantly Stephen Eze was part of the Bulgarian Top Tier Side Lokomotiv Plovidiv for four years. And he even won the Bulgarian Cup in 2018-19. In addition he also represented Lokomotiv in Europa League in 2019-20 in 4 matches.

His presence in Defence made Jamshedpur FC to move forward and score goals last season. And it is certain that they will surely miss him.
