Extending their winning streak, Jamshedpur FC handed ATK Mohun Bagan their second loss in a dominant 2-1 display. With a fine balance of aggression and composure, Jamshedpur prevailed over last season’s runners-up at Bambolim.
The Men of Steel bagged a goal in either half of the tie. Seimenlen Doungel (37′) and Alexandre Lima (84′) got on the scoresheet for Jamshedpur. At the other end, Mohun Bagan did pull one back to deny the opposition a clean sheet. Pritam Kotal (89′) was the man scoring for Bagan, although controversial, proved to be too little too late.
Starting strongly, Jamshedpur FC played with the right intent, attacking and pressing ATKMB for most of the game. Owen Coyle’s side were sturdy in defense as well, withstanding Bagan’s attacks and grabbing an important win.

Player of the Match
Jitendra Singh was by far the best player on field. He put up an all-round showing, contributing offensively as well as defensively for his side.
The youngster played provider in Jamshedpur’s opening goal. On his toes the entire game, Singh spotted an opportunity in the 37th minute and unleashed Doungel unmarked in the ATKMB area. Aside from his wonderful assist, he registered 2 clearances and 5 tackles.
