Jerry Lalrinzuala agrees to a one-year contract with Odisha FC

Odisha FC announced on Tuesday that Jerry Lalrinzuala has signed a deal with the team that would keep him there through May 2024 with an additional year’s option. Jerry is an Elite Academy graduate of the AIFF. In his early years as a footballer, he went to France to train with FC Metz.

From Lowly Starts to ISL Glory. Jerry, a native of Mizoram, has had a football career that is nothing short of inspirational. He gained notoriety moreover in 2016 after being the Hero ISL’s youngest Indian to ever make his debut (for Chennaiyin FC) and score a goal. His professional trajectory has been on an upward incline ever since.

Hero ISL Victory and Standout Performances: The 2020–2021 Hero ISL season marked the zenith of Jerry’s time with Chennaiyin FC. His reliable performances and unyielding defence were crucial in helping CFC win the Hero ISL championship that year. Moreover a menace even in the offensive third of the pitch, he is skilled at overlapping runs and pinpoint crosses.

He is one of the league’s top defenders because to his excellent positioning, quick interceptions, and game-reading skills. The young player has pleased both fans and critics with his consistency and maturity on the pitch
