Mourinho for shutting him out criticizes misfit Roma

Jose Mourinho has come under stinging criticism from Gonzalo Villar. Who claims the former Chelsea manager ruined his time as the Italian team’s manager.

Villar, 24, relocated to Rome from Elche in 2020 and established himself as a regular throughout the 2020–21 season. Making 47 appearances across all competitions. But under Mourinho, who was hired back in May 2021. The midfielder has had his opportunities with the first team to be limited ever since.

Although Villar is content at La Liga right now, he has finally spoken up about his suffering at Roma. He also clearly blames Mourinho for keeping him out, although without mentioning the Portuguese manager by name.

Villar told COPE,

“It was a beautiful experience at Roma, until a person arrived that we all know. I’d rather keep silent about him than talk about him. My journey with Roma was cut short after his arrival, which put me in a challenging predicament.”

Villar continued by outlining some of the challenges that led to his brief stay at Sampdoria, which he described as the “most challenging circumstance” he had ever encountered Mourinho in sports. Although Getafe does have the option to acquire him at €3.5 million (£3.1 million), his long-term prospects are uncertain.

After leading the team to victory in the Europa Conference League in his first season in charge, it is unclear whether Mourinho will experience any negative fallout in the aftermath of Villar’s harsh remarks.

In recent weeks, Mourinho has associated with both Brazil and Portugal. It has also been said that the former Tottenham manager is with how his second season at the club is progressing.

However, Roma director Tiago Pinto down reports of interest in Mourinho while acknowledge that the club must be ready for rumors given the caliber of their manager. Who has won significant championships throughout the globe.
