Jules kounde is close to being registered by La Liga. Multiple reports in Spain say that Kounde has received the green light for La Liga registration. Barcelona were not able to register the Frenchman for 2 weeks because of the high wage limit. Kounde missed the first 2 La Liga games of the season which left Xavi frustrated. Barcelona drew the first game of the season at home against Vallecano. But the Catalans did not take much time to respond as they picked up a 4-1 win away at Anoeta.
It is now almost official that Kounde will play the next La Liga fixture at home to Valladolid. This happens as a reason for Samuel Umtiti leaving the club for Leece and Pablo Torre also registering for Barca B. Umtiti leaving the club was a big step as Barcelona got the desired room to register Kounde. But still, it looks like Barcelona wants more departures to take place. They are currently also working on offloading Memphis, Braithwaite, and Dest. All 3 of them have been told that they are not in Xavi’s plans for the season.
The Blaugranas are looking to bring in a new right back. Juan Foyth and Hamari Traore are the ones on the shortlist. The latter is a much cheaper option and might just be perfect for them this season. Xavi has expressed his desire to have an offensively supportive right back. Ronald Araujo is impeccable defensively but struggles offensively. Barcelona also tried a 3 at the back system but were exposed much more as compared to a 4 at the back. Coach Xavi has admitted that different opponents allow Barca to make different changes in formation and tactics.

As compared to other years, Barcelona’s Defensive options look much more secure this time. The club picked up Andreas Christensen as a free agent. Jules Kounde is also one of the first names for Xavi on the team list. Moreover, Ronald Araujo and Eric Garcia are also 2 of the best in what they do. But most probably, it is going to be a partnership between Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde.
The duo complements each other perfectly. Kounde is one of the fastest CB’s in the world. Along with that, he is an elite passer of the ball. Araujo on the other hand is an old-school defender. The Uruguayan is an excellent attacker of the ball along with being a physical beast. He is probably the fastest CB in La Liga. He and Kounde at the heart will be an absolutely brilliant combination.
