Julian Nagelsmann hopes the new signings will improve the squad

Nagelsmann

Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann has acknowledged that losing Robert Lewandowski is difficult. The German tactician has stressed that replacing the 50 goals cannot be replaced by a single player. Julian Nagelsmann believes that the squad as a whole will have to step up to contribute in the effort to replace the Polish international.

However, the manager is hopeful that new signings will improve the squad at the Allianz Arena. The Bavarians have signed Sadio Mane, Matthijs De Ligt, Ryan Gravenberch, Noussair Mazraoui and Mathys Tel this summer. The club has strengthened in multiple areas and Julian Nagelsmann hopes that the players will improve the team overall.

The club has enjoyed a fruitful pre-season and an impressive first win against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. The Die Roten ran riot against the reigning UEFA Europa League champions and scored 6 goals against them. The manager will hope the favorable results continue for the Bavarians.

Manager, Julian Nagelsmann speaks about new French signing Mathys Tel

Bayern Munich has signed the French wunderkind, Mathys Tel from Rennes this summer. The 17-year-old is one of the most promising French players and is touted to be a future superstar. The Bavarians have signed the Frenchman with a view to the future.

However, manager Julian Nagelsmann believes the wunderkind can contribute to Bayern Munich even at this stage of his career. The German tactician said:

“We call him Mats, that’s what he wanted too. He’s making a good impression, he has very good dribbling and good finishing. He’s a top talent and has a lot of confidence in training. He has a lot of potential. He’s eligible to play for us now. I assume that he will be in the squad.

Julian Nagelsmann further said about the squad:

“We lost a striker who scored 50 goals. We have to make up for that too, despite the players we brought in. Other than that, I think our squad got better. I’m not someone who makes excuses. I know we’ll do well. The guys are highly motivated.”

Bayern Munich fans and the club hierarchy will be hopeful that Mathys Tel and other signings will be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact for the German champions. With a strengthened Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, it will be interesting to see if the Die Roten are able to retain their title!
