Lazio has set a whopping €80 million price tag on Liverpool target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as per the report in Italian outlet Calciomercato

The 26-year-old joined the Biancocelesti back in 2015 from Belgian side Genk for €18 million. The midfielder was an integral part of the former manager Simone Inzaghi’s system at the Stadio Olimpico and it hasn’t been any different under the new manager Maurizio Sarri.

According to the report, Liverpool will have to battle with Juventus to land the Lazio talisman Milinkovic-Savic at Anfield. The report also claimed that Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta also admires the Serbian international but the Nerazzurri do not have the financial strength to battle for the midfielder.

The 26-year-old has always been linked with a move away from the Italian capital over the past few years. But the Serbian remained at Rome every time. The Serie A giants are desperately trying to keep hold of their star man and pondering about offering him a new long-term contract.

Lazio set a huge price tag on Liverpool target Milinkovic-Savic:

Following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum, the Premier League giants are looking for an apt replacement for the Netherlands international. However, the recent on-field performance of the Reds hasn’t shown that they are missing anyone in their squad.

Milinkovic-Savic is enjoying a great start to the season under Sarri. While scoring three goals and notching up two assists in eight Serie A appearances. So, signing a player who can provide goal contributions from midfield will certainly be a great acquisition for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Lazio is enduring inconsistent times so far this season. As they have been victorious against Roma and Inter but suffered defeats against Bologna and Milan. The Eagles will be looking to find consistency as soon as possible to mount a finish for the Champions League spot.
