About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Lazio are reportedly weighing up a move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Filip Kostic as per the recent reports.

The 28-year-old joined Die Adler from the fellow German side Hamburger SV. The midfielder has showcased his talent in the last couple of seasons at the Commerzbank Arena, scoring 14 goals and notching up 35 assists in 97 Bundesliga appearances over the past three campaigns.

According to the report, Kostic has already accepted personal terms with Lazio and is eager to join the Serie A giants. The Biancocelesti are hopeful that a deal can be agreed upon with Frankfurt for around €15 million-plus bonuses. However, both clubs have yet to reach an agreement for the Serbian.

The player is pushing for a move to the Italian capital and went to strike to force a move. The midfielder did not even feature in the weekend game against Arminia Bielefeld. Maurizio Sarri’s side are optimistic that a deal can be done before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Lazio want to sign Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic:

Following the departure of Joaquín Correa, Lazio are in the market for a new winger and Kostic could be a perfect addition to the attacking line. Sarri likes to implement 4-3-3 formation and the Serbian could play on both the flanks.

The 28-year-old has showcased his ability to create chances and Biancocelesti’s fans will be hoping to experience the same at Stadio Olimpico. With the acquisition of the Serbian, Ciro Immobile will get more services to score.

Meanwhile, after a great start to the season with back to back wins, Sarri’s side will be looking to continue their winning run when they meet AC Milan in the next game. The Rossoneri have also started the season on a higher note. So, it will be interesting to see which team will continue their winning run after the international break.
