Legendary Defender gives opinion on Managerial Change

Legendary Defender Rio Ferdinand has already expressed his sympathies for Graham Potter in light of the difficulties he had while at Chelsea. Raising the possibility that he would take over as Manchester United manager in the future.

ETH Downfall

The guy in the Old Trafford dugout right now, Erik ten Hag. Has had a miserable second season leading United, who are still having problems both on and off the pitch. They are in elimination from Europe in the middle of the week. And they still lag behind in the Premier League.

Reports in the national media are beginning to speculate as to whether or not Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the creator of INEOS, may decide to make a change after formalising his 25% minority takeover. There isn’t any indication, though, that Ten Hag is facing any pressing professional obligations at this time.

The INEOS investment has not yet been made. Despite his difficulties at Chelsea, Potter is reportedly in well-likes by the INEOS, and former United defender Ferdinand has spoken well of the former manager of Brighton and Chelsea in the past.

Legendary Defender Talks

During an episode of his FIVE podcast, footballer-turned-TV commentator Ferdinand took questions about Potter before the 48-year-old was fired in April. “Gary Potter has one of the hardest jobs in the league because of what he has been given,” the speaker declared.

“Saying that is strange because he is really talented. Being a rookie manager, he has never had to deal with players with that level of talent and ego.

“Every week, imagine this, he’s going in… yes he’s got great players at his disposal and they’re not a team. He’s got to formulate a team and disappoint between 11-15 players.
