Liverpool is not willing to push for a reunion with Former Midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. The Reds no longer have the Dutch International in their Plans and will not re-sign him from PSG. Wijnaldum finished his contract at Anfield and joined the French Giants as a Free Agent earlier this Summer. He joined a Star-studded PSG side, who went on to shockingly sign Lionel Messi just a month after agreeing on a deal for Wijnaldum.

However, the 31-year-old Midfielder has not settled well in his new team. He has been struggling to get more game time due to heavy competition from other players in his position. Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly considering allowing Wijnaldum to leave on loan during the January transfer window. He joined the Ligue 1 outfit just six months ago from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Wijnaldum left Liverpool in the summer after spending five successful years of service. The 31-year-old failed to agree to a new deal with the Merseyside. The Dutch midfielder was previously an important player for Jurgen Klopp’s side during his tenure at Anfield. Georginio Wijnaldum helped the club to end its drought for the Premier League title as well as their sixth UEFA Champions League Triumph.

Georginio Wijnaldum open for a return to the Premier League as PSG set to consider loan offers for the ex-Liverpool star

Since he arrived in the French capital in the summer, Wijnaldum has not been a guaranteed starter under Mauricio Pochettino. Whereas he was one of the first names on the team sheet at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp. Half of his 20 appearances for PSG this season have only arrived as a substitute. The likes of Danilo Pereira and Idrissa Gueye are more preferred options for Pochetinno.

According to reports, the French side could already have alternative plans for Wijnaldum. Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol understands that PSG are ‘willing to listen to loan offers next month. Solhekol further explained that the Dutch international is open for a Premier League return and confirmed that Arsenal is currently considered as a potential destination for Wijnaldum.

“I’m just working hard to do it as [well] as possible and change things around. I’m still learning with the manager with whom I’m working. The country, of course, the language, the people in the country, it’s all new for me but also my family, so I just do my best to adapt.”

said Wijnaldum during a Interview with PSG

“Of course it is a risk but I think as a football player you also should sometimes come out of your comfort zone to make the next step, so I’m just giving everything I have. I’m a person who makes decisions based on my feeling and with the choice I made, I know the feeling was really good. I do everything I can to make it the best choice so I’m not scared.”
